Discover the centuries-old tradition of tea pets and craft your very own! In this workshop, you'll explore the rich history and customs behind these charming clay companions, drawing inspiration to design your unique creation. 

We’ll provide all the materials and guidance you need to sculpt your tea pet during the class. Once completed, your piece will be taken to our studio in Elgin, Illinois, for firing. After it’s fired and finished, we’ll ship the final product directly to you.

Speaker: Tom Hill Tom - A Master Potter with a Heart for Tea Tom intertwines the warmth of pottery with the comfort of tea in his charming Elgin-based venue, Steep N’ Clay Tea House & Pottery Shop. A ceramic artist of over two decades, educated and skilled in Ceramics, Tom crafts not just pottery, but stories etched in clay. Celebrated across galleries, his pieces sing to both the terra firma that birthed them and the meticulous artist behind their creation.
